Important Message to Parents of Sixth Graders
Good afternoon.
All students entering sixth grade are required by law to have a booster dose of tetanus, diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine if at least five years have passed since the last dose of tetanus-containing vaccine was administered. If it has been more than five years since the last dose of tetanus-containing vaccine, your child will need to have this booster shot administered before the first day of school in September. The school must receive written documentation that this booster or a tetanus shot has been administered within the last five years in order for your child to attend classes on the first day of school.
If you have questions, please call your child’s school. Thank you.
SAES Musical UpdateSAES Musical Update
School House Rock, Jr. was a great success in the spring! We are planning to have our school musical in the fall this year. Annie, Jr. auditions will be on Monday, September 13th after school until 4:30 p.m. The performance dates are November 19th and 20th. If your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader would like to participate, one parent must attend a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, September 9th at 6:00 p.m. This will be a short meeting to explain the options for participation, practice calendar, and go over the contract. We will welcome questions and have sign up sheets for parent volunteers at that time. We learned many lessons from last year’s production and hope to improve the experience this year.
Thank you for your interest.
